Sculpture at Evergreen Biennial 2010
Evergreen Museum & Library
The Johns Hopkins University
4545 N. Charles Street
Baltimore, Maryland 21211
Wednesday, July 1, 2009
Curated by an architect and an artist, whose shared interest in the particularities and character of place is shaped by their respective disciplines. Their dialogue and simultaneous presence invites other visual thinkers to engage Evergreen through their work and to contribute to an embedded conversation on the intertwining of moment and place. $4000 honorarium awarded to selected artists for design and fabrication of site-specific works. Projects will be selected by guest curators Jennie Fleming, artist and Associate Director of The Art Gallery, University of Maryland, College Park; and Ronit Eisenbach, architect, Associate Professor and Director of Kibel Gallery, School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation at the University of Maryland, College Park.
