This biennial competition, which began in 1992, showcases facilities that improve quality of life for older adults while exhibiting innovation in their design and execution. More than 300 facilities have been recognized in prior editions of the Review.
Projects that are recognized for outstanding achievement will be exhibited at the 2009 AAHSA Annual Meeting in Chicago and the AIA 2010 National Convention in Miami. These designs will also be included in education programs and the upcoming tenth edition of the Design for Aging Review companion publication.
