Over the last 5 days, I have pencilled, inked and flatted (completed the flat colors) 5 entire pages of the comic – a testimony to how well things flow when I can work without being solicited by this or that. If I carry on at that pace volume 3 will be ready quite earlier in 2010 than I though, and there’s no real reason why I shouldn’t, as I have set aside the rest of this year for it (aside from work I can’t refuse, obviously). I’m particularly excited about page 30, for which I waited a long time. Seriously, if you readers think you have to deal with suspense, it’s nothing to what the makers have to deal with, looking forward to working on a page but having to complete a bunch of others first!
Aside from that, I remembered that I’d hoped to publish volume 2 in French in time for the holidays, but I haven’t started yet. I should probably make an effort to get started this weekend, as it would be a pity to miss out on the season. It’s not much fun though. French doesn’t really work for a superhero story (even though it’s my mother language and I prefer it to English in general) and what’s worse, it takes up a lot more space. Arrr.
