Empower Station Beirut
Arena Baubo
Beirut Street Festival
Empower Station is a mobile platform aimed to initiate a discussion about equality and solidarity. We want to create a space for open and innovative meetings set up as an intervention within the norms and routines of every day life. The aim of the event is to encourage a daily activism inspired by “Do It Yourself” culture.
Around the Empower Station market stall five Pippi Longstocking characters will encourage the audience to come up with their own ideas on actions they can do to achieve greater equality in their daily life. The ideas will be exchanged and read out loud, resulting in a circulation of ideas and a chain of actions extending beyond the market stall.
We hope to create a sharp, dissonant and inspiring market place for exchanging ideas of equality and empowerment. Anyone can come and fill up their tanks with inspiration for activism.
